Wednesday 2/25 Updates
Good Morning Stampede, today is a wonderful Weds., February 25th.
Tomorrow is Spring picture day. Pictures will be taken in the cafeteria starting at 8:30am. You must have your completed paperwork and your money. This is just for students who want to buy pictures. Students will be called out by grade level.
Art Night is next Thursday-March 4th. This is where you come to school with your family at 5:30 in the cafeteria and you get to make a tile-you know design it and paint it -and then it will be fired and hung in the cafeteria forever! You will be a part of this school for future generations. Don't worry you'll get a flyer and I'll remind you again.
Art Club will meet today after school in Room 21, the Clay Studio.
Running club will meet in the eighth grade wing, for those students who have physicals turned in.
Club Live will meet after school in room 39.
Kaiser Permanente's "Don't buy the lie" contest's official forms are in both offices and in my room. You have until March 20th to come up with a great anti-smoking idea. One winner will be chosen from each middle school in the Sacramento area. So our school will have 1 winner. That student will win a $50 gift card and will go on to the big contest where the winner wins $1000
Ms. Bell has been selected as the Foothill Ranch Middle School Teacher of the Year.
Please take the time to congratulate Ms. Bell for taking on one of the most difficult, meaningful, and impactful jobs in the world and doing it well.
Congratulations to Ms. Bell!
Good Morning Stampede, today is Tuesday, February 24th.
Update on our Vertical Venture Club. Last Friday. 7th and 8th graders planted Asian pear seeds in shaving cream lid containers. 5th and 6th graders planted onions and green beans in the garden area. You should check out a few of the containers we have used.
Don't throw it! Grow it!
Were you here last year for Art Night? Well the results of that night are the tiles on the walls of the cafeteria. I'm sure you have noticed. We're having another Art Night a week from tomorrow-that's March 4th from 5:30 - 7:00 and we are making tiles again. Don't worry you'll get a flyer and I'll remind you again.
Running club will resume on tomorrow, meeting in the eighth grade wing, for those students who have physicals turned in.
Kaiser Permanente's "Don't buy the lie" contest is starting. It runs until March 20th. This is the contest where any 7th or 8th grade student can pick up an entry form, draw an anti-smoking message that could end up on a billboard around town. One winner will be chosen from each middle school in the Sacramento area. So our school will have 1 winner. That student will win a $50 gift card and will go on to the big contest where the winner wins $1000. Entry forms with all the directions can be picked up in either office or room 39.
That's it for today, thank you for your attention and make it a great day- here at Foothill Ranch-you have the power!
